Ronald van der Hilst Reimagines a Romantic Garden in the Netherlands

Sculptural cubes of clipped beech frame a cross-shaped water feature at the Boer family’s garden in Dijkerhoek, a village in the northern Netherlands. The five-acre grounds were designed by Belgium-based landscape architect Ronald van der Hilst, who drew inspiration from the music of Gustav Mahler.
